Interesting article about ebird and birding culture. Ebird told me I may have seen a juvenile Bald Eagle in NY last week, but I did not log it as I didn't have a good enough ID to feel confident that it was actually a bald eagle.

If you're having trouble with your Gmail account in Thunderbird today, it might be due to Google now requiring OAuth 2.0 authentication.
Thunderbird SHOULD transition your account automatically, but if you're not able to connect, try going into your Gmail Account's Server Settings and manually changing "Authentication Method" to OAuth2 (it should NOT be "Normal.")
More information about this change can be found here:

It's not drop ship arbitrage, Amazon didn't deliver it. There wasn't even a shipping label on the WalMart heat sealed packaging. Some guy in a sedan just dropped it off, rang the doorbell, and left. They only way I can think of that this works economically is if the seller works for WalMart as a delivery driver and is padding his income by selling stolen goods.
Placed an order on Amazon two days ago. Order dropped off at my door today in WalMart packaging. Further investigation reveals I bought from a 3rd party seller with a corporate address in India.
it's RV toilet paper - not something I'm worried about being counterfeit! But still. I don't understand the economics of an $8 package of toilet paper being dropped at my door (not shipped) by a company based in India with almost no history on Amazon.

Alright, the overwhelming positive response has convinced me of my summer project: "tty1", a blog chronicling my journey toward using the terminal only for my computing experience.
It'll likely be mostly a series of articles showing my CLI replacements for different apps, with a *possible* finale where I go a week with only the distro I've customized over the course of the articles.
I'm gonna start by coding the site from the terminal; follow me to get updates. :)
Boosts welcome! 😄
How RFPs get written - a college from the Midwest had document metadata in their RFP belonging to a college on the East coast.
E1S4 of Stranger Things is set in 1986. They used "Do You Want to Play" by Extreme in the show, which was released in 89. And the kids were looking at code that included HTML, which is a 1993 invention.
They are such obvious mistakes I'm thinking they were included on purpose to get these kinds of social media posts circulating.
I launched my first website on 12/31/95, and it's still online and regularly updated. So I'm an old :)
By day I am a sales engineer for complex websites, mostly Drupal and WordPress. When not working I prefer to be in the woods in my standup teardrop camper. I'm also likely to post about #hiking, #saintsfc, #redsox, #FOSS, #Purdue, #camping #beer.
