I found this in facebook ironically
For people trying to de-google their phones, I just came across the e-foundation who sell phones with de-googled versions of android. https://e.foundation/. Unfortunately they don't seem to sell to Australia.

For the phone experts out there. What's the difference in terms of privacy between getting a pinephone/Librem 5 and formatting my samsung/pixel and putting a linux OS on it? I know there are kills switches on the other two but it seems this way I would still get stellar hardware without the tracking etc. And I realise I'd still be financially supporting samsung/google.
@chmod700 getting away from Google services is tricky. I'm in the same boat, got pulled back for Docs. One step at a time though I suppose ✊
@chmod700 It's hard to go full foss, but the aim is to foss as much as possible. Whenever there's a foss solution for your problem, use it :)
Hi all, I'm Nick, love Linux, love FOSS, though am wondering how realistic it is to go full FOSS. Finally moved away from gmail successfully to mailbox.org but found I still went back for google drive/docs since I can't find a privacy alternative that compares. Anyway, look forward to chatting on here. #introductions
