@iooioio Aha, I donated a couple of dollars to the dev this week. It did come up in my search.

CalDAV looks like a second class citizen at the moment (it has its own sidebar header, separate from everything else), but I imagine integrating a protocol with all the native features Planner offers is not an easy feat! Hope to see this come through and mature with time. :)

@joeligj12 Oh, sad, thanks. That's what it looked like from a quick search, but I thought there might be some hacky way to get this done even then. :(

@brandon That said, I appreciate you're trying to understand. I just can't deal with this right now. I hope the context makes more sense, still.

@Shrigglepuss @rghvdberg

@brandon @Shrigglepuss @rghvdberg I had to mute the people involved in this discussion (fair disclosure) as I couldn't engage anymore at the time.

I'm dropping a link to the original toot where I wrote "Don't @ me" so you have more context, Brandon: fosstodon.org/web/statuses/106

Here's another toot where I speak highly of both XMPP and Snikket as a project: fosstodon.org/web/statuses/105

I'm sorry - I don't want to engage more at this point, but I felt it was important to provide context for my situation.

Does , without any additional addon, allow customizing its keyboard shortcuts?

@x That does sound impressive tbh. Self-hosting Gitea is not an engineering feat on the other hand haha. I want to be more intentional in what I self-host. In the end, I want a good balance, and gain at least enough value for whatever headache self-hosting something is.

@praveen I was, for a while, using Codeberg (rusingh.com/2021/01/26/github-). However, once again, the critical mass is simply not there. I want to be an early adopter, but not for every single thing.

@avolkov I could pay $5/month for a bare machine install and at least remove the maintenance barrier from Gitea, but that's a totally unaffordable option for me. (rusingh.com/2020/09/02/just-fi)

But yes, for your use case, it sounds like you're meeting your targets very well -- and that's absolutely great! :)

I started self-hosting a instance a few months ago -- and now I'm moving back to . Here's why.

@gaffen I'm trying this at SmallCamp (smallcamp.art/) - I had two IRL friends join but they are almost entirely inactive at the moment.

All hope is not lost! Community building takes time, and a few friends already on the fedi have joined the community and are continuously making it a lovely place to be. In the end, those and more IRL friends should feel like there's something worth their time on SmallCamp in due time. :)

@hjertnes I stand corrected. Wondering why I'm only seeing 3.28 on flathub (3 year old release).

Is there a GTK Tasks app that connects with a Nextcloud WebDAV server?

GNOME To Do (wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Todo) is abandoned, and I don't want to use Thunderbird.

@hjertnes Some truth there too, definitely. I know my own codebase was horrible w/ Celestial πŸ˜‚ but have come some way since then.

Two small PRs for a project I use, and with that, a tiny bit of foray into web extensions. πŸ™‚ Remarkably productive day! πŸ’ƒ
