📔 New blog post.
A quick post on comparing the two, but not categorizing my experiences into cons or pros -- everyone has their own needs. TL;DR at the end.
Just updated this to not be a draft anymore. Organized it better, and added some bits as well. :) #moa
@celia i’ve been a Migadu user for over a year now and it’s been amazing. granted, i only use it via IMAP/SMTP and don’t care about the web UI. i’m considering switching to Purelymail though — a lot more affordable in INR.
@celia also considering that i self-host CardDAV/CalDAV, i don’t really need that either.
@celia Purelymail will charge me only about $6 per year according to advanced pricing; approximating by how much i use.
@celia "You only get one mailbox". Have a look into filters - you can move your mails into a separate folder based on the domain. Not as good as separate mailboxes, but for me it's good enough.
@darekkay That's what I am using too -- not as good as a mailbox like you said, but you're right, it's generally good enough.
@emma I ended up writing that quick blog post. :)
