Read a post by Asko Nõmm ("I don't want to do front-end anymore") this morning, and I know something about it is going to stick with me all day. If not longer.:

@celia Finally someone pointed this out.

Front-end development has always been daunting to me with so many things to learn and so much changes going around which is why I kinda stayed on with back-end stuff mostly.

@celia I definitely hear the frustration there, but I don't think it's a reason to stop doing front-end entirely. The web needs more "vanilla sites". When a job calls for experience with React, it lessens my interest in the job. I don't want to make the web worse, but I do want to make the web. We need to change the front-end world.
