I hate to ask, but here goes.

I'm looking for a role as a . or . Preferably where I have previous work ex from.

I've been looking a while and nothing with the right fit has come along. Work life balance is super important. If UK, happy to work completely in your timezone!

My site is rusingh.com and I'm happy to email you my CV/resume. Will start immediately once we're on the same page. 💯

please?

A couple of references are available. I'm still a little early in my professional career. Happy to provide these, still! :)

Someone on Fosstodon got in touch with me eventually, and we've closed a deal today. I'm starting next month and absolutely stoked to grow into my role and become even better for the next time around! 🎉

I had absolutely no idea what would happen or any expectation with this toot. Almost out of desperation, this was me shouting into the fediverse -- yet 76 boosts and dozens of replies and DMs later, here I am, incredibly taken aback by the response and the help extended. Thank you EVERY ONE! ♥

There's a whole lot of inner work and long-term thinking to do around my career, life goals, and where I want to be in 2 years, 3, or even 5. But, for now, I'm thankful that I get to pay my bills and do more of what I enjoy.

@celia What about Spain? careers-dnvgl.icims.com/jobs/1

Disclaimer: I've been working for them for 2 years (1.5 years of it remotely), very happy with them.

@celia If you decide to apply, you can mention my name as well, if it helps :)

@asko Thank you!

Spain is good, as long as it's English, which this is.

However, it's a senior role as well as requires a CS degree... doesn't seem like I'll qualify, unfortunately. 😅

@celia Don't worry! Apply anyway. I don't have any degrees, never even made it to highschool. I believe half the people working with me have no format education in engineering. But if React/Typescript/CSS is something you do, you'd be perfect for the role.

@celia You'll only regret the chances you didn't take in life!

@asko Similar, too! Self taught, graduated college in a different discipline. I've taken your reference and also asked to be added to their talent pool for other positions. :)

Thank you so much! ♥

@celia have you considered applying for a position with Automattic? I’ve been working there for a year and couldn’t be happier ☺️

@reykjalin Oh no! Like most places, they too are looking at senior roles. :(

I'm going to apply anyway, fingers crossed. 🤞

@celia No related : I LOVE what you did with your Microblog ! Nice and minimalist 🤩

@celia Hi, this company is quite good. Note: It is an agency and not a product company if that is of any importance to you.

steer73.com/

I worked from home in India for this company some 1 and 1/2 years ago. It was a good experience for me and as you said that work life balance is pretty ritual here. I just checked that there are no open roles at the moment.

Actually, many companies has this job vacancies page closed. But we can still try to write to them and see if it fits or not.

@celia And I'm doing the same with few product based companies by just writing an email to them and showing my work.

Oh, by the way - Steer73 is based in London but they have teams in Ukraine, Romania and India.

@celia I haven't started yet, but I'm starting soon at this Norwegian videoconferencing company. They seem good people, and pretty remote-friendly:

@celia Congrats! Is it remote or are you moving too?

@viv Thank you, Vivek! 😄

This is fully remote which was a baseline criteria for me.

I had rejected a bunch of companies already which wanted me to either move, or come into their offices. The pandemic is still very much here to stay.

@celia That's awesome! Good luck with your new role!

@rd Sorry it looks like I missed out on replying back, but thank you!!

@celia I'm so glad for you! Hope you can have the best environment to demonstrate your full potential as a engineer and as a team person.
If you need something else (were I can actually help) please let me (us) know.
