Free is a Lie (2014) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldhHkVjLe7A
And of course things got worse after 2014. Back then Twitter didn't even have an algorithmic timeline and Cambridge Analytica was just some startup.
This is beyond absurd. Almost 15 years in development and #Akonadi still can't reliably deliver and filter mail. Don't just take my word for it, either:

What the actual fsck!
There are two new #KDE e-mail clients being developed, Kube and Trojita:

*Neither* uses Akonadi under the hood. Perhaps #KDE PIM team should finally take a hint.

#crypto #RSA in potentially-big-but-very-much-unproven today, Claus-Peter Schnorr apparently published a pre-print of a paper from 2019 that has a clickbait-worthy (misspelled) abstract: "this destroyes the RSA cryptosystem"
https://eprint.iacr.org/2021/232
Now, given the misspelling and the rather weird timing, I'm calling dubious provenance, until Prof Schnorr makes a public statement. Which, given the bold claims, is pretty likely.

Yeah while I think it was a mistake to add JavaScript to browsers, I do acknowledge it can be used for good or ill. I won't villify you just for using it.
Sometimes when I argue this topic, it goes down to the question "Does the good JS enables outweigh the bad?" I can't take the argument beyond that, though it's clear where I stand.
@cedric
Big +1! We just started using it for Snikket, and it's been amazingly frictionless for both developers and translators.
I expected translation of our new web dashboard to be weeks of work after launch. Actually we shipped with 6 languages already in the first release 😀
Of course many thanks go to our community members for that achievement, but Weblate made their collaboration possible ❤️
