My internal clock is firmly in teacher schedule, so I'm up early on a Saturday blogging about #teaching
@brianb mostly replying to another one of your web phosts about the purpose of grading, my strong feeling is that the purpose of tests is that they're a planned extreme situation, and in the final prep for the test and the test itself, students put together ideas, break through barriers and crystallize knowledge in ways that normally don't happen.
In my theory, I guess tests are solely a macguffin for an introspective learning event and a sense of extreme urgency is necessary but results, no.
