Controversial maybe?

...at least it'll be ready to use tomorrow :(

Life is like a box of chocolates: if all you do is consume, you'll end up with nothing left.

EEP, I see quite a few folks boosting this thread! I want to note that the new projected publication date is October 31st and not the end of September.

😂 Was watching an InDesign tutorial and went to move one of the in-video windows from the screencast and was confused when the video "paused itself"

Aside: looking for design folks to help with the design of the e-zine

So, since I can't get access to a Mac (for reasons undisclosed, I thought I could), I won't be able to try Pages. So I guess I'll have to settle for Word.

Does anyone know of Linux/Windows tools for publishing brochures and magazines? Aside from the regular office suites. Looking for something more specialized

aaaand I just realized my signature has had a spelling mistake for the last three months.

French, FYI

One of the NSA security propaganda posters that inspired this e-zine

It's been quite a few days since I posted a work to my blog, but here is the official announcement of the e-zine I want to publish.

I've spoken about it a little before, but here's a more lengthy explanation of what it is, and why it is, as well as what I intend to accomplish with it.

Do you think it would be bad decorum to contact folks who's art style I like and ask them if they'd like to participate in the e-zine project?

There won't be any direct compensation but writers can have a URL pointing to either a project that they own or a cause that they support and ask for donations at the end of their piece.

Calling all infosec writers/journalists:

Inspired by the NSA propaganda posters released on April 17th of last year, I'd like to publish an e-zine featuring some modern infosec propaganda posters.

However, I'd like to also accompany these posters with some informative/educative publications relating to security and privacy, in light of the plethora of data breaches that occur almost weekly.

Timeline coming in a week or so, projected publication date (self-publish) would be late October.

Tired: TOTP app
Wired: Calculating the TOTP by hand using the seed
Inspired: Building your own breadboard model of a TOTP app.

If you were voting on written pieces to include in a publication, which would you prefer when voting?

One thing I /really/ like about updates on Linux as compared to Windows is that you don't have to run the package manager twice just to actually upgrade /all/ the packages!
