Trying to think of a way to convert a dumb electric baseboard heater into an IoT thermostat-based heater.

The issue is that third neutral wire is not part of *any* of the wiring in my apartment so that ain't gonna fly without some sort of hack...

Any suggestions? I was thinking of co-opting close by outlets for the smart device's reserve power but I'm not sure how to go about that

Another option would be an electronic relay that is then connected to a smart switch
