Pay a flat fee and gain access to everything may be a good value proposition in same cases, but everything moving to that model feels ... overwhelming.

@boblmartens I want no part of it. Its not just the dollar price. Its also the time and effort and lack of control managing these subscriptions. If you don't own it you don't have any control. What is included can and will be taken away and you can't do anything about it. They have DRM... I could go on but I think thats enough.

@kelbot I agree with much of what you are saying. I've become more and more skeptical and it is the uncritical consideration around anything more than "I get access to more content for this flat fee" that really hurts.
