I don't understand why people are surprised by this. AIs are written by people with bias, tested by people with bias, and trained on data sets that contain biases. Why are we shocked that the AIs end up biased? Seems a foregone conclusion to me until we can figure out a better way for them to work.
I love doing system design interviews as the interviewer. I basically ask "build YouTube" (or a similar system), and then I just sit back and learn a lot.
My Android phone stopped charging because of lint problems...
(There was too much lint inside the USB-C connector for the cable to connect properly.)

I started working on a formatter for https://github.com/mozilla/moz-sql-parser. Python could really use a solid ANSI SQL parser.

...you remember months are 0-indexed in Javascript, except when instantiating a Date object with a tuple of numbers, and that finally solves the problem you've been trying to fix for the past 6 hours.

About me: I've been making open source software since 2003. I started with a simple email virus scanner, wrote a server for climate data (pydap.org) and I'm currently and Apache committer working on Apache Superset.
