Statement of FSF board on election of Richard Stallman (RMS): https://u.fsf.org/3bf
I encourage everyone to chip in on this crowd fund campaign. Louis Rossman, well-known Right to Repair lobbyist wants to get laws passed in his country USA for Right to Repair.
This will greatly benefit projects like coreboot and riscv-related projects.

Right to repair means: access to schematics, boardviews and other such info necessary for repair. Presently, hardware/logic info is highly restrictive. This law would be a huge legal precedent for future rights.

Of the companies that market stalkerware—sometimes under the guise of child safety or employee-monitoring software—@evacide told the TED audience, “Do these companies know that their tools are being used as tools of abuse? Absolutely.” https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2020/05/watch-eff-cybersecurity-director-eva-galperins-ted-talk-about-stalkerware
@gamingonlinux you can only have DirectX on Linux...if you run it on Windows!?
I will continue to distrust M$ for as long as they continue these one-sided "contribtutions", or whatever they like to call it these days.
There's some crazy internal US politics right now that threatens #OpenTechFund, who funded #LetsEncrypt, #CertBot, @torproject , #NoScript, TLS ESNI/ECH, #DNSPrivacyProj, #ReproducibleBuilds, #Wireguard, #DeltaChat, #OpenKeychain, #pypi, @guardianproject , @signalapp , and more. Looks like a couple proprietary software companies are trying to take over this #FreeSoftware money. Please sign on to the campaign to try to stop it: https://saveinternetfreedom.tech
