@arran this looks actually really useful! I hate to admit it but since a lot of people use them, maybe consider adding social media profiles? (Fb, birdsite, LinkedIn, etc ... But don't forget Mastodon, Pixelfed, Matrix/element 🙂)
@lopeztel Might sneak in a couple, Mastodon for sure.
Although I don't want to enable the big techs - So Facelibrary, Birdplace, LinkedOut.. Not too keen.
@arran nice. One thing I did notice is when clicking share if triggering ios share sheet looks like trying to send object instead of string for the name:
Here's [object Object]'s contact information https://qcard.link/?v=QkVHSU46VkNBUkQNCkZOOlRlc3QgcGVyc29uDQpOOjtUZXN0IHBlcnNvbjs7Ow0KVElUTEU6VGVzdGVyIG9mIHByaXZhY3kNCkVNQUlMOkpvZUBwcml2YWN5dGVzdHRlc3QuY29tDQpURUw6NTU1NTU1DQpVUkw6aHR0cHM6Ly9wcml2YWN5dGVzdC53ZWJzaXRlDQpOT1RFOlllcyBubyB5ZXMgbm8gdGVzdA0KVkVSU0lPTjozLjANClVJRDplNWIwYzVhYy0wMjU3LTAwOGUtZjNlNy01MzQ0OGM5NDI3NDkNCkVORDpWQ0FSRA==
@geekgonecrazy Okay! Thanks for the headsup, I'll get onto that.
@eloquence That's a good point, definitely want to eliminate as much data as possible going to the web server. Thanks :)
@arran seems great!
@arran Have you considered using MECARD instead of vCard so the generated QR codes can be smaller?
@mathew Haven't heard of that, can you please link me?
It's supported by iOS and Android.
Fosstodon is an English speaking Mastodon instance that is open to anyone who is interested in technology; particularly free & open source software.
