Has anyone tried out (and ideally even benchmarked) the new Intel microcode 3.20190514 update, that mitigates #MDS et al? (Details at https://lists.debian.org/debian-security-announce/2019/msg00092.html)
Is it as drastic as Apple's mitigation that disables SMT? That's way more of a performance penalty than I'm willing to pay for a purely theoretical vulnerability.
