It is really staggering how much UI/UX development has happened in the last 10~ years, remembering that in 2012 this is what a tweet (on iOS) looked like while a modern day interface is basically uncomparable in a hard to describe way!

@benjojo and don't forget that twitter used to exist on Blackberry devices
@albonycal I originally signed up to twitter because of the SMS gateway! I was mainly using it as a poor mans SMS notification system so that new SVN revisions on a repo would trigger a SMS to my phone
@benjojo I used a phone which had SMS based twitter!
It was still functional in I think 2014
