I like to get into tiling WMs. But there are so many, does some fedi folks have recommendations for me? If possible with reason why it's better then others.

Boosts are welcome. :)

For all Firefox users: If you use the #geolocation feature you might want to change the Geo provider used by #Firefox as the default one is #Google.

1. Go to about:config
2. Search for "geo.provider.network.url"
3. Change the Google URL to Mozilla's own service: location.services.mozilla.com/%
4. Try viewing your geolocation: openstreetmap.org

There are many USB 3.0 (not thunderbold) Docks which allow to add more screens to a laptop. But all I found just talk about Windows and Mac support. Does this work on Linux too?

I just discovered Markor. It's a note app with markdown support. Also it saves it's notes as plain text files on the file system. In combination with Syncthing I now have nice looking simple notes, which are shared between my computer and my Handy! I just wanted to share this with you, maybe someone other found this interesting.

After more then a year I finally uploaded a profile picture. Not very create work, but now my profile looks less boring. :D

@Xystel I use the Dark Reader browser extension. It works pretty well for most pages.

Following Problem: While watching series I have on my screen a webpage with a translator open, to translate some words I dont understand. But the webpage has no dark mode, and it's so bright! Is there any way to negative just one part of my screen? Or any other ideas how I could make that windows dark? :D

Can we please, please – PLEASE! not make the nonsensical US date format month/day/year the default in applications? 🤦‍♂️

And to all users of that format: it makes no sense, it's counter-intuitive, it makes collaboration frustrating, it introduces inconsistencies and errors... Just stop. Please. Use international standards.
(And don't get me started on your other units of weights, volumes and distances. Bloody hell.)

Boost if I'm right.

Is there any picture viewer for GTK, which can crop images like gwenview? I really like gwenview, but it has all that qt librarys as dependencies, which I won't install on my xfce environment.

What are the main differences between mastodon and pleroma? A link with a comprehension would be enough. Idk why, but I didn't found one.
