Universal Blue is generally available today! We're out of beta and ready to showcase everything a Linux desktop can be. Our work has been to show how many problems in client Linux are already solved from the cloud native world. We hope you'll join us on this journey!

The uBlue maintainers also have a message they want to share for @fedora :)
Updates on Bluefin, Bazzite, and Aurora coming soon!
Bluefin is out of beta as well and ready for you to use! We merged Silverblue with all of the extra goodness you need for a no-fuss desktop experience.
* All the codecs and drivers you need already baked in
* Ubuntu-like philosophy behind UX design and feel
* Grand Touring Support for the scenic route to the latest software
* Atomic upgrades and rollbacks
It's the hotrodded Fedora install you always wanted.

If KDE Plasma is more to you're liking, Aurora has got you covered! While still in beta as our youngest custom image, Aurora aims to package everything cool about Bluefin on top of Kinoite. You're getting the drivers, codecs, container and developer tools, and other apps to make your desktop hassle free.
Check out Aurora's brand new website and give it a whirl: https://getaurora.dev/

@UniversalBlue @fedora Hey #fedora - Thanks so much for making awesome stuff. It's been a pleasure exploring this new model of consuming Linux desktops!
Much love.
Awesome news @UniversalBlue! Congrats on passing that significant milestone
Congrats on the full release! I use Bazzite daily on a steam machine I've built
@UniversalBlue congrats! This is huge. Thanks for paving the way for next generation desktops!
@elementary thank you so much!
#fedora Thank you so much for all the work you do every day which makes our project possible. We are always happy to contribute back upstream!
To everyone who has helped us with Universal Blue (core contributors and volunteers), thank you so much for all of the hard work. I have never been more proud to be a user of Linux.
And finally, thank you for all the users of Universal Blue. We appreciate all of your feedback on the project to make it even more awesome!
@UniversalBlue "All the codecs and drivers you need already baked in".
Does this include the mesa-freeworld patches for AMD GPU video encoding/decoding? Those are always a nightmare on silverblue because rpmfusion is awful at keeping those up to date and on silverblue it stops the entire system from being able to update. Whereas on workstation you can just skip the mesa packages while you wait for those to catch up.
@CorruptComputer folks in the forum would be able to answer better, but anything in rpmfusion should be included in the image already.

@UniversalBlue @jorge this is just great! I hope more and more distros to follow this philosophy. Is ptyxis installed as a system package or through flatpak?
@dottorblaster @UniversalBlue It's on the image, it's not on Flathub yet, I hope to move to it when it's ready though.
@jorge @UniversalBlue been using microOS Aeon for a while now and the user experience feels pretty much like my old Mac plus all the Linux goodies. These concepts altogether look great and I strongly believe projects can cross pollinate, keep it up!
