As someone that only speaks English, what would be the best multipurpose language to learn? People whose first language is less common, there are a handful of languages that would be useful worldwide. But starting with one of the most universal it’s hard to know what would be worthwhile.

If I was specifically going somewhere or needed it for a particular reason, then it’d be easy. But I’m not. I’m siding with German, as I know about 20 words already πŸ˜†.

Has anyone heard of or used manyverse? It's like a social network that stays on your phone. I think you invite others and you share posts between you and potentially friends of friends.
