I propose to launch a campaign called .

Everyone can share their favorite tool(-s) that use on a daily basis as well as other interesting tools for your opinion.

No software categories. The main requirement is that the project must be open source.

And I think I'm gonna start.

1) veracrypt.fr/
2) cryptomator.org/
3) keepassxc.org/
4) meet.jit.si/
5) github.com/phw/peek
6) github.com/Splode/pomotroid
7) atom.io/

A tool or an app ?

Jit.si can be an app/software rather than a tool like Veracrypt?

@noorul
In my understanding, the tool is equal to the app.

I understand a tool is like static site generator -

Or Rsync which is used to certain operation etc.

But any way, good campaign

@TheFuzzStone

@TheFuzzStone . My favorites are vim, Solvespace, Inkscape, Movim, Handbrake.

@TheFuzzStone Do you want people to reply or to use the hastag? or Boost?

#ShareATool
Thunderbird (yes)
k9Mail via Fdroid

More Fdroid: Camera Roll, Open Camera, AntennaPod, NewPipe, TuxPaint, LibreOffice reader, Mupdf, Riot.im, Tusky,

And my whole Linux Mint machine 🙂 - so fresshhh

@wendy

I thought more people would take part in this campaign...

@TheFuzzStone

I like this #ShareATool idea. Here's some cool stuff you might not see everywhere.

- beets.io/
- curl.haxx.se/
- Shattered Pixel Dungeon f-droid.org/packages/com.shatt
- Emacs in general, but to keep things interesting I'll point out that the indentation is one of the things I miss most in other editors. Just go anywhere in the line and hit <Tab> and it almost always does the right thing. If not hit it a couple more times.

@TheFuzzStone

I find very useful the minimalist, privacy-focused blogging platform write.as

There's also a self-hosting option via writefreely.org

Both can publish to the fediverse via ActivityPub.
