We know you like photos from the production-line, so here are some pictures of
@postmarketOS CE #PinePhone from the factory for you to enjoy.
Pictured:
- QA and component testing (using #Linux !)
- a 3GB RAM/32GB eMMC mainboard
- a bunch of units awaiting assembly.
@nick @PINE64 @postmarketOS I see mine there, too 😂 It's the first one in the second row😃
@PINE64 @postmarketOS now I'm wondering what that test rig actually does
@PINE64 Is there any chance that future devices could have Thunderbolt over the Type-C connectors? That could be a very interesting feature and could be useful.
@gudenau Not without an Intel Chipset that is too large for Smartphones. Wait for USB4.
@bionade24 I don't think they are that large though?
They appear to be a touch over 10mmx10mm.
@gudenau Minimal larger. But I wouldn't consider that as small. They're nearly as big as the ARM Processor.
@bionade24 I mean, make the phone a touch thicker and you can take a little more room for the PCB because the battery can be larger.
Though this would be far more useful for tables and laptops.
Youhou !! Great news. A few more weeks and it will be in my hands ^^
@PINE64
My three goals for the future is getting a pinephone with convergence kit, a pinetab with a keyboard and survive the pandemic. At least I got one of them going for me.
@PINE64 @postmarketOS
Will there be a NixOS community edition ?
@PINE64 @postmarketOS mine could be one of the ones in that photo! can't wait to receive it
