Another #PinebookPro issue from the factory. 🤦♂️
If your newly arrived PBP will not boot, try booting from SD.
If it boots from SD, you may need to flip the "eMMC disable" switch in order for normal boot.
See our wiki for how to find and flip the switch: https://wiki.pine64.org/index.php/Pinebook_Pro#Accessing_the_Internals_-_Disassembly_and_Reassembly
@PINE64 Sounds like you need a little more QC.
@PINE64 At least we don't need third party kits that will end up in violating the terms of service and the devil appearing and taking your soul. We can do it in peace.
@PINE64 looking like it’s a good thing I’m waiting a bit longer to buy. Hopefully factory gets the kinks worked out
@PINE64 This isn't great, but at least you even CAN open the thing. That can't be taken for granted any more.
How refreshing to have a vendor that doesn't hide their warts but gets ahead of them maintaining a great relationship with their fans!
