@NVAccess awesome, i'm super excited for NVDA 2025.1, i don't know how much i will use the remote feature but i think its awesome its finally gonna be in NVDA by default
@J3317 I was looking up when I wrote In-Process - NVDA 2025.1 closes 555 issues! That is more than any other version has ever closed, so I'm sure there will be features you will find useful regularly, even if you don't use Remote often. From our CSUN presentation, here is one slide worth of bullet points on some of the new things in 2025.1: https://nvaccess.org/csun/#new
@NVAccess cool, i use libra office so excited to see the fixes with that
@J3317 Ah we've definitely got some things in there for you. Just having a quick look:
- Localize new Word and Libre Office gestures
- R|eporting first line indentation in Writer
- Reading page footer and header in Writer
- Reading checkboxes in Braille
- Ability to organise templates in Calc
- fix in Say all
And a bunch more (I searched for "libreoffice" in the 2025.1 Milestone here: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues?q=state%3Aclosed%20is%3Aissue%20libreoffice%20milestone%3A2025.1%20
@NVAccess I am having a problum with libre office writer, when i arrow through a document with a numbered list or bolited list it takes NVDA a long time to start reading, offen not reading anything, hear is the version info windows 11 24H2, NVDA 24.2 and latest alfa, LibreOffice 24.8.5.2
@J3317 Hi Joshua, I had a look on our issue tracker at https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues and I couldn't immediately see an issue exactly like what you've described. Would you be able to write up an issue with the steps to reproduce, and possibly a log file (at debug level) please?
@NVAccess sure, how do i get a log file?
@J3317 Thanks! Press NVDA+control+g to open general settings, tab to "Logging level"; down arrow to "Debug", Press OK, then NVDA+q to quit, down arrow to "Restart with add-ons disabled" & enter (to ensure it's not an add-on bug), when NVDA restarts, recreate the issue, then windows+e for File Explorer. Press alt+d & type:
%temp%
(note the percent signs either side). Look for nvda.log & nvda-old.log
nvda.log is the log from the CURRENTLY RUNNING or most recent run, nvda-old from the time before.
@NVAccess thanks, i will do that right now
@NVAccess Just created the issue
@NVAccess Hi there, I have an update, the Station Playlist addon that was giving me issues is working properly once again, thanks to @ChrisDuffley.
