Lately I am trying to convince more and more people to join the fediverse and stop using facebook, instagram etc. One thing I find difficult is the following: If someone is not techsavy and (as bad as that sounds) doesn't care about privacy, which benefits do they get by joining the fediverse?

What are you convincing points for that?

So some weeks ago, there were some posts around here about a fediverse instagram alternative, but I just cannot remember the name of ist. It was something with pix in the name I think. Can anyone help me ?

I have a Microsoft Natural Ergonomics keyboard (the only good thing they made in my opinion). Sometimes I sit there typing and think to myself:
"What are they odds, they installed a keylogger into it?"

Git is really amazing. I am without Internet at home at the moment, but can still work on my code and just 'git push' whenever I am at a coffee shop with wifi :D

My program CLI-Talk (a nextcloud talk interface for the terminal) is now ready for basic usage:
You can read and send messages.
Check it out under github.com/mrchainman/CLI-Talk :D

I am working on a CLI interface for Nextcloud Talk written in pyhton, any Feedback or help is apprecheated :)

OpenPush - A Free, #Decentralized Push Messaging Framework for #Android

"Push messages are an essential part of connected mobile devices. They are also one of the critical missing pieces in the #opensource Android ecosystem. Until now, free Android apps would either need to implement their own push notification system, do without any push messaging or use the proprietary Google Cloud Messaging service."

Contains swear words

A few months ago I started building my mailserver. All was going well, but lately I noticed, that Microsoft is the only email provider, that marks my mails as spam. The only remaining reason for it could be my .xyz TLD... Fuck Microsoft...

Don't hate me for making publicity, I just wanna throw this out to everybody πŸ˜‚ :
I started my website/blog/podcast where i talk about anonymity and privacy online, checkout the link if you want to.

So I found something very weird...
If I upload a video to Bitchute it won't play in the browser (I tried a lot of different formats and encodings)...
But if I play the videolink with mpv it plays wihtout a problem.

Anyone got an idea on how I can fix this or what might cause the problem?

Has anyone an idea how i would go about implementing dmenu as a mini filemanager for surf in order to upload stuff?
At the moment surf simply exits, I suppose it is because I don't have a filemanager installed.

So apparently even after reuploading my video still doesn't play... Anyone else having issues uploading to Bitchute?
