In the future, will it be possible to have a combined timeline of different projects/accounts (pixelfed, mastodon, peertube)? While Fedilab works very well for Mastodon, other platforms don't feel as neatly integrated. Don't get me wrong, I think you have done a tremendous job with Fedilab, though it still feels more like Mastalab than Fedilab.

I am happy to endorse @piratpartiet@twitter.com for the European elections in Sweden. I've worked with their lead candidate @_Mab_@twitter.com for almost a decade – he'll do an excellent job continuing the fight for digital rights. #EUval2019

We're on Mastodon! A big thanks to Fosstodon for the help! We'll be posting updates and news about LibreOffice, along with tips and tricks for using the software.

It's bad news, I'm afraid :blobcry:

"Dark day for internet freedom: The @Europarl_EN has rubber-stamped copyright reform including #Article13 and #Article11. MEPs refused to even consider amendments. The results of the final vote: 348 in favor, 274 against"

We're happy to announce that all energy used for powering your encrypted mailboxes now comes from renewable energy. 😀 #FridaysForFuture #GoGreen

Tack @pewdiepie för att du sprider medvetenhet om det viktiga ämnet upphovsrätt.

Thank you @pewdiepie for spreading awareness around the important topic of copyright.

This has come to be my favorite launcher, not just out of the FOSS ones. Instead of having to look through pages of apps to find the right one, it's just a few keystrokes away. Unfortunately, the wallpaper has been acting up recently.

EU citizens!

#Article13 has lurched back into life due to a last minute Franco-German deal:

Any profit-making site over 3 years old will have to install YouTube-style automatic copyright filters on all uploads.

In practice, they would have to outsource it to Google etc. Big tech would choose what we see, even on tiny indie sites.

Please tell your MEPs today, in your own words, that this is not acceptable. They vote on this next Monday:

Discord is valued at 1.65 _billion_ dollars.

What kind of person can look at that and go "ah, yes, this free chat service is totally not gonna screw us out of private data for profit"?

Just used F-Droid to install G-Droid. And that's basically everything you need to know about the concept of #freesoftware. #opensource #freeyourandroid #fsfe

I really find it satisfying to complete Street Complete missions when I'm out-and-about, so much more fun than Pokémon Go (at least for me anyway)!

"[Street Complete] app finds incomplete and extendable data in your vicinity and displays it on a map as markers. Each of those is solvable by answering a simple question to complete the info on site.

The info you enter is then directly added to the OpenStreetMap in your name, without the need to use another editor."

Swedes! Poles! Germans! Luxembourgers! The world is depending on you to save the internet from the EU! (PLEASE RT!)

I had no idea that the EU was helping to make open source software more secure. It seems we have the Pirate Party member of the European Parliament Julia Reda, among others, to thank for this. (Not long until it's time to vote!) Apparently, it began in 2015-16 when the EU audited Keepass and Apache and they have now moved on to providing bug bounties for a number of open source projects.
