In the future, will it be possible to have a combined timeline of different projects/accounts (pixelfed, mastodon, peertube)? While Fedilab works very well for Mastodon, other platforms don't feel as neatly integrated. Don't get me wrong, I think you have done a tremendous job with Fedilab, though it still feels more like Mastalab than Fedilab.
I am happy to endorse @email@example.com for the European elections in Sweden. I've worked with their lead candidate @_Mab_@twitter.com for almost a decade – he'll do an excellent job continuing the fight for digital rights. #EUval2019
It's bad news, I'm afraid
"Dark day for internet freedom: The @Europarl_EN has rubber-stamped copyright reform including #Article13 and #Article11. MEPs refused to even consider amendments. The results of the final vote: 348 in favor, 274 against"
@Tutanota are you having server issues or is it just me?
#Article13 has lurched back into life due to a last minute Franco-German deal:
Any profit-making site over 3 years old will have to install YouTube-style automatic copyright filters on all uploads.
In practice, they would have to outsource it to Google etc. Big tech would choose what we see, even on tiny indie sites.
Please tell your MEPs today, in your own words, that this is not acceptable. They vote on this next Monday:

@kev @rmdes On top of that, at least here at Fosstodon, we do implement a council of sorts. Kev and I are the instance admins, but we have a team of moderators that also are involved in decisions. Kev and I take many of the decisions we make to the moderators for discussion. Additionally, we'll take choices to the community at large if it's of significant importance. We want our community to be involved with the instance. It's theirs too.
#OpenLibrary is a free open online catalogue of every book ever published, edited by users and run by the Internet Archive:
Members can download public domain books, borrow copyrighted books, edit entries and create lists to share.
The EU's plan to impose mandatory copyright filters is on life-support and may die
I really find it satisfying to complete Street Complete missions when I'm out-and-about, so much more fun than Pokémon Go (at least for me anyway)!
"[Street Complete] app finds incomplete and extendable data in your vicinity and displays it on a map as markers. Each of those is solvable by answering a simple question to complete the info on site.
The info you enter is then directly added to the OpenStreetMap in your name, without the need to use another editor."
Swedes! Poles! Germans! Luxembourgers! The world is depending on you to save the internet from the EU! (PLEASE RT!)
I had no idea that the EU was helping to make open source software more secure. It seems we have the Pirate Party member of the European Parliament Julia Reda, among others, to thank for this. (Not long until it's time to vote!) Apparently, it began in 2015-16 when the EU audited Keepass and Apache and they have now moved on to providing bug bounties for a number of open source projects.
Fosstodon is a Mastodon instance that is open to anyone who is interested in technology; particularly free & open source software.
