Woo! F1 Quali's were super exciting this morning! Red Bull looks like they might have a seriously strong start to the year, although Checo getting knocked out was a bit sad.

Further down, Alpha Tauri is coming out of the gate looking seriously strong!

I've also been enjoying Jake Archibald ranking the F1 websites by speed:

Can't wait for the race tomorrow! Much excitement! 😀

@polychrome clearly the solution is bigger bumpers. and magnets, always magnets.

Just found an awesome tool!
htmx.org/

It let's you add some dynamic bits to a page with simple and clear directives. Combines with a Python backend beautifully! What you return to the requests is just HTML chunks, that get swapped into your page.

I recently wrote a short post on advertising-based services, and why I try to avoid them:

I want to say "thank you" to . There are plenty of toots here which I strongly disagree with. But the bottom line is, that behind each of those toots is a good-hearted individual. So thank you, for being you.

if you watched a video on LBRY* every day last year, you would have made about $30

and the creator would have made more

you probably have a friend that still uses big tube

show them the way 🤝

As the year comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to extend my appreciation to all of you for the good times and laughs, throughout 2020. She's been a hell of a year but, we made it. From loved ones lost to great successes, this year has been a wild roller coaster of a ride. Whether you're working or enjoying it with loved ones, I hope all of you enjoy bringing in the new year and do so, safely.

Thanks, again, for making Fosstodon such a fun atmosphere and great community.

This is an interesting read on the impact of facebook:

The article that Gruber is discussing is this one:

I'm not sure I agree word-for-word with everything said but they are very interesting reads.

Has anybody used #namecheap for their #vpn? Does it support #wireguard? Curious since they state that they do not keep logs and seem to have decent prices for 1yr & 3yr plans.
