@njha This is some awesome work! The pine phone is absolutely wonderful.
Needs ~10-16GB of free space on your pinephone and computer since it's using rawhide. PLEASE visually inspect everything before running- it's barely tested and assumes a lot of things.
Take it more as an example of how to install a desktop OS on your pinephone than a finished product.
@kev The dark mode on the site fits better with the blue accent present as well. Also, dark themes are (almost) always easier on the eyes.
@jamie Thank you!
Haven’t tooted in a while, but I just published my first post on my blog 🎉
Here’s the link: https://jacobneplokh.com/blog/keybasegreatness/
@lucasdondo Switched a while ago 🙃
@ataraxia937 I've also heard from others that additional instances silenced/blocked us, but no specific names
@ataraxia937 scholar.social silenced us. Here is a link to their toot and a transcription of it:
> The instance at fosstodon.org has been silenced from scholar.social
You can still follow anyone from there, but their admin has explicitly abdicated responsibility for the conduct of their users, including the use of slurs
@mooshoe It simply cannot happen on the internet unfortunately :(
Any social media/forum I've been on has its share of toxic users.
@julius Yeah had to reread the first sentence 😂
@stevenroose This is the first toot about the "drama" I've made because I do not care about it. Simply ignoring it saves you stress and time, people.
I would much rather be tooting and reading toots about FOSS and technology, which is what I have decided to do.
If anything, the uproar about it kind of proves @kev's point. It was literally one toot.
@kk Agreed. Instance admins should not be making choices for everyone part of their instance.
15 years ago, EFF's @doctorow told Microsoft:
1. That DRM systems don't work
2. That DRM systems are bad for society
3. That DRM systems are bad for business
4. That DRM systems are bad for artists
5. That DRM is a bad business-move
He was right.
@hannibalwhite13 For elite hackers only
Fosstodon is an English speaking Mastodon instance that is open to anyone who is interested in technology; particularly free & open source software.
