@lupyuen might be easier if you inspect the uboot source for HDMI than the kernel. (Uboot doesn’t support the mipi dsi for JH7110 though AFAIK). It could be a simpler implementation to get started with? (Uboot is capable of outputting a BMP splash screen to HDMI)
@lupyuen also, the panel is not a Jadard panel, whoever wrote the factory image just hacked a existing driver. The panel in PtV (and PT2) is a BOE TH101MB31IG002-28A
