I think people underestimate how much editor colors effect your experience coding. I'm building a text adventure in Inform7 (inform7.com) for school atm, and basically lost all passion. Then I changed my editor colors to be more vibrant and punchy, and changed the font to Jetbrains Mono, and I've had a massive change in attitude. Equal to or greater than cleaning out your office. If you spend all day in a text editor, make it look nice.

@brandon what a great article! I find Inform super draining, so I’ve changed all the colors in the Inform variant to super neon hues to keep me awake. For my terminal theme though, I’ve adopted the “Tomorrow Night Burns” colors – takes some adjusting, but I find it really soothing.

@FIGBERT I'm glad to hear you liked it!

I've not heard of inform before but the neon hues would certainly keep me awake in any situation!

And the tomorrow night burns theme....oouu that looks *super* chill, I might just try that out in my terminal :3
