#fluffychat 0.30.0 has been released today 🎉🎉🎉 with a big refactoring under the hood, a lot of bug fixes, better room alias management, minor design improvements, Linux desktop notifications aaaaaaaand Linux arm64 support. 🐧

In theory it should run on #pinephone or #librem5 but I have no device to test it. Anyone here who wants to try and send me screenshots? 🙂

We did it! We've just released #InfiniTime 1.0!

Please read the full announcement on the blog of @PINE64 (pine64.org/2021/04/22/its-time) and have fun with your #PineTime!

Release note : pine64.org/2021/04/22/its-time

What's new in this version : step counter, wake up on wrist rotation, UI redesign, more user settings, user settings stored in flash memory, and many more features and less bugs!

#megapixels running on a #purism #Librem5. Credits go to the devs who have been working on enabling the cameras on the #librem5

Did you know #postmarketOS supports a few smartwatches? Well, now you do!

However, up till now we didn't have a proper UI for them. Since I put a lot of work in the Mer stack to get it running for #Glacier, it was only a few more packages to get #AsteroidOS up and running on #postmarketOS as well!

Merge request coming in real soon!

Before I started working on #postmarketOS I was a (relatively happy) #SailfishOS user. However, after my Jolla Phone just became too slow for my taste I choose to move back to Android for my next phone rather than choosing another SFOS phone, and help out postmarketOS instead. The proprietary nature of SFOS scared me away.

I'm clearly not alone and this blogpost by our newest pmOS core team member lists a few reasons that also applied to me which is worth reading!

is pushing towards more for smartphones: 7 years of updates, open sourcing when support drops, public repair manuals and diagnostic tools. To reduce the horrible environmental impact of mainstream phones, we need all of this, yesterday!

"For ultimate flexibility, smartphone manufacturers should enable users to install alternative operating systems such as @e_mydata or PostmarketOS."

Remember, there is a generation that don't see nothing wrong here.

Boost if you get it ;)
