I don't know a ton about Ubuntu Touch, but I'm definitely interested in it.

What device are you running it on? Do you find that you're missing anything you are used to having in Android?

Also how does it work with SIM cards/data? Do you have to use a specific carrier?

I'm using a . So far I'm not missing much. Anytime I've switched phones I've suffered a certain amount of grief. This is no different but has been surprisingly smooth. The community is awesome and very supportive.

@DistroJunkie Tried it a couple of years ago, but it seems like it has evolved quite a bit even after Ubuntu stopped supporting them. Are there any apps for Ubuntu Touch that one would actually use? I'm thinking maps, Mastodon and the like.

I'm waiting until I've figured it all out. Before I started this adventure, I listed all of the android aaps and features that I used.
So far I use uNav for maps & navigation, uMastonaut for Mastodon, the stock browser is sufficient.
I'll make a more complete list later.
