@ryo Wait, why does it need to use the GPU for? wouldn't that be a security concern?๐ค
@randynose Yeah, but the issue is that the read and write speed is a nightmare. It wouldn't be ideal. I mean it will work its just that your going to experience a bunch of delays ๐ unless... you get your self a really good USB drive that uses 3.0 and that has a really high read and write speed then maybe that could actually work๐ค (Most of my USB's are cheap crap $5 USD that are usb 2.0 and a read and write speed of less then 20mb ๐ )
@AaronTheIssueGuy If I were you I would invest in Monero ๐
Its better then Bitcoin in every way ๐ https://www.getmonero.org/
@werwolf @kzimmermann Wow, then that is truly impressive ๐ฎ ๐
@stux Nah its more like cyberpunk 2077 ๐
@werwolf @kzimmermann So how much would a pc running Debian with xfce
would use? ๐ค
@werwolf @kzimmermann But what about TinyCore Linux Its much lighter๐ค
@yarmo And catnip being as the currency ๐
@werwolf @werwolf Oh no, I am going to Distro hop I am running Kde-neon soo yup ๐
... also I never hear of lightdm before ๐ค Ill give it a quick search on it. Yea Ill give some thought on xfce
I am actually interested on it ๐ But I am going to do a bunch of research on it before I mess up and regret it *Like I always do* ๐
@thrrgilag Nice ๐
@fedops Maybe not cinnamon because its the closest to widows and personally I want to stay away from it as fair as possible. But you did mention Budgie. I have not tried that before. But it does look a bit windows... Just because I am curious Ill give it a shot. But on a vm to test it ๐
I am thinking of Distro hoping off of KDE because (personally) Its becoming a pain in my ass sadly ๐ This is what I have in mind.
My Options
1. Gnome = Because I used it for 4 yrs
2. Xfce = Because its a light weight and gets the job done. But I don't know if I like the login UI and the name for system monitor (actual name is task manager *reminds me of windows* but overall its a pretty OK DE)
3. Mate = a fork of gnome 2.0 and its some thing that looks light and modern ish
@trahal Yeah no prob ๐ / Sucks that KDE is ignoring the dns that I gave to it. Gonna go do some research on it
@trahal I am not sure how. I dout that ist because I changed my DNS to use quad9 Wait let me check... WTF KDE?! why didn't you put it. When I checked the settings and used dnsleak it gave me my ISP dns server ip?!?! ๐ซ
@LinuxLounge Right?! Its ridiculous ๐ซ ๐
The only way I can access it is via Tor Thank goodness for the existence of TOR ๐ ! I โค๏ธ
